Authentic Edge Podcast

The Authentic Edge Podcast explores health, healing, and human development in a modern world that our bodies and minds weren’t designed for.

Built for modern professionals navigating high demands, this podcast focuses on developing real mental and physical balance — not through trends or surface-level advice, but through practical understanding of how the body and mind actually work.

Each episode unpacks common problems seen in the real world:

  • Pain and physical dysfunction
  • Stress and nervous system overload
  • Exercise confusion and poor recovery
  • Limiting beliefs and behavioural patterns

Grounded in hands-on experience, this podcast answers real client questions, challenges outdated or misleading health advice, and highlights the common mistakes that keep people stuck.

This isn’t about perfection or optimisation for its own sake.
It’s about building a system that works — physically, mentally, and practically — in the context of a demanding life.

Expect solo deep-dives, practical breakdowns, and clear, no-nonsense guidance across mindset, movement, and healing.

No fluff. Just what actually works.

We discuss types of issues and their causes and how they all cause the 'guarding response' and that Massage is a great way to talk to that 'guarding response' and allow the body to return to its natural functioning.  We use psychotherapy or talk therapy as an alalogy to demonstrate how the same principles of recovery can apply to both the mental and physical..... The major mistake I see people making is chasing the new 'shiny objects' and thinking that if we do a bunch of different hacks, that that will somehow compensate for our lack of attention to the fundamentals.  If you think hacks can make up for doing the basics well then you're kidding yourself. Whether it's a training hack, diet hack, or anything else - hacks can be useful, but if you're taking the focus away from the fundamentals, then the price is too high.
Hacks are spices, not staples. They can enhance good quality food, but they're not the meal!
